Vanderlei Alves was appointed Associate Principal Clarinet of the Goiânia Symphony Orchestra in 2015 at the age of 19. Serving the orchestra for 7 years, he played in many countries in Latin America and Europe. He previously served as Principal Clarinet of Goiás Chamber Orchestra, Principal clarinet of the UFG Contemporary Music Ensemble and Principal Clarinet of Goiás State Wind Ensemble. Mr. Alves is a founding member of the Goyania Woodwind Quintet which won the BSB Bank chamber music competition.
Vanderlei has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic and the Munich Philharmonic. He has performed in Trancoso Music festival where he appeared as a soloist in 2018 and 2019. As an educator Vanderlei was appointed assistant professor at Federal Institute of Arts, Science and Technology of
