Lupita Huizari (voice/piano)
Lupita Huizar  (instructor of voice/piano/early childhood) 
is a professional vocalist, music industry specialist, and passionate educator with over 18 years of experience in teaching and performing. A proud first-generation college graduate, she holds an AA in Performing Arts from Citrus College and a BA in Music Industry Studies with honors from Cal Poly Pomona. Her career has taken her across the U.S. as a lead, background, and studio vocalist, with performances at renowned venues such as The Ford Theatre. She has shared the stage with legendary artists like Stevie Wonder and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and performed with ensembles including the Allen G. Orchestra and Nightowl Productions. She has also opened for acts such as Ozomatli, Alejandro Aranda (Scarypoolparty), and Sonora Dinamita. In addition to teaching voice and piano, Lupita provides instruction in music industry subjects such as copyright, publishing, and recording arts. She is well-versed in a variety of audio setups and offers hands-on guidance in vocal arrangement, harmony singing, microphone technique, stage presence, and performance skills. As the lead singer and creative director of the Selena tribute band Selenamos, Lupita continues to energize audiences with dynamic performances. Her role as a live music and event coordinator keeps her connected to the heartbeat of the industry.Lupita brings real-world experience into the classroom, teaching through an equity-based approach that meets students where they are. She has taught a wide range of students—from toddlers to seniors—including early childhood music fundamentals through programs like Music Fun Time, where she introduces children as young as 18 months to rhythm, melody, and movement in a playful, engaging way. She holds a substitute teaching credential and has worked in multiple school districts, committed to making music education inclusive, empowering, and fun. Her teaching is deeply informed by her years of performing, coordinating, and mentoring students across diverse musical genres. Grateful for the mentors who believed in her, Lupita strives to offer that same encouragement and inspiration to every student she teaches.”
